Since 1984, our program has grown to become the largest PhD program at Dalhousie University and is a one-of-a-kind doctoral program in Canada. Our students pursue research that addresses complex questions that cannot be answered within a single discipline and integrates the insights of two or more traditional disciplines, as well as interdisciplinary and other fields of study.
