Comprehensives

The supervisor and committee members of an ID PhD student are responsible for determining the format and scope of  the Comprehensives.

Guidelines developed by the committee should include:

• the purpose (breadth or depth)
• the Interdisciplinary nature
• number and style
• evaluation criteria
• expected preparation time
• expected schedule
• oral defense schedule (optional)
